Product update: Sub-agents, a new build experience and clearer continuous learning

Our latest release introduces sub-agents, a new way to break complex agent flows into focused, self-contained steps. It also brings a redesigned Studio that follows the agent lifecycle, clearer recommendations in Continuous Learning, and full support for phones and tablets.

New features

Sub-agents: structure complex agents into focused, manageable parts

As AI agents take on more of the customer journey, their conversation flows grow. Identity checks, card replacements, loan quotes, and routing all live in the same graph, and every new branch makes the logic harder to follow, review, and change with confidence.

Sub-agents fix that. Each one turns a single job, like verifying a customer's identity or collecting loan details, into a self-contained agent inside the main flow, with its own prompt and model. Teams can fold it away when they need the big picture, or open it on its own when they need the detail.

GetVocal Subagents

What this means for your team

  • Complex agents stay readable: Large flows break down into clearly named steps, so anyone can see how an agent is structured at a glance.
  • Focused changes, less risk: Builders work on one part of the flow without the rest of the graph in view, which makes every change easier to make and easier to review.
  • Faster to build and scale: Existing flows can be restructured into sub-agents without rebuilding anything, so teams can organize the agents they already run today.
  • Governed by design: Sub-agents follow the same controls as the rest of Studio: changes happen on drafts, only by people with permission to edit the agent.

A new Build experience that follows the agent lifecycle

Studio is now organized around four clear stages in the top navigation, matching how teams actually take an agent from idea to production:

  • Build: design your agent's conversation flow.
  • Evaluate: test before going live.
  • Improve: find drop-offs, skill gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Govern: manage data policies, guardrails and logs.

Every tool your team relies on now has a clear place in that journey, so it's easier to know where to go next.

Clearer recommendations in Continuous Learning

Improve now turns agent interactions into clearer, actionable recommendations, so your team can see where conversations fall short and what to change next.

Mobile and tablet support

The GetVocal platform is now fully responsive across phones and tablets, so your team can work from whichever device is at hand.

Studio and workflow improvements

  • Faster graph updates as you build and edit flows.
  • Safer Go Live behavior when publishing agents.
  • Better navigation and version history across Studio.
  • Improved handling of agents with incomplete data.
  • Test calls, clearly labeled: calls started from Studio are now automatically marked with a Test badge in Conversations.
  • Customizable conversation tables: choose which columns to display.
